Summer 2017

We had a no summer vacation......or family vacation. Dean and Nicholas went with Troop 410 Boy Scouts to Wisconsin for 10 days during the last part of June. July was spent at music camp and we all helped out during the Armadillo Districts Cub Scout summer camp at Emma Long Park. That was a busy, hot but fun week. August was so hot we started back with school work: Nicholas started his Firelight Academy Writing II/History Pre-AP Class and History Day Club. We took a long weekend to travel to Missouri for the solar eclipse and ended up in Nebraska for the best view we could get due to clouds/rain- that will be a great memory for the boys. So much fun and family road trips are the best way for us to spend time together laughing and away from our busy life at home. We made a big decision at the end of August and will be releasing more information about the life-changing decision in the next few months. Here are some of our summer experiences in pictures:

Although he is needing less and less one on one time with me. Our 2016-17 schedule looked like this: Monday: In home working on subjects music theory in the late afternoons, and Boy Scout meeting in the evenings. Tues: Math Team most of the day then quickly to Orpheus for private lessons. It&#
